Why a Commitment Ceremony?

A commitment ceremony in the UK is a non-legal celebration of a couple's love and commitment to each other.

For us, this ceremony is about celebrating the deep love and commitment we share. We've found something truly special in each other, and we want to honour that in a meaningful way, without the legal formalities.

It will have all the look and feel of a wedding, but in our own way and style.

Venue

Knightsbridge Room

Old Marylebone Town Hall

Marylebone Road, London NW1 5PT

Please arrive by 3.30pm in the Knightsbridge room for a 3.45pm ceremony.

We have chosen this iconic venue in Westminster because it is an area that is close to our hearts, having had our first romantic getaway here back in 2019, and is where we believe, in another life, we would have met when we were younger.

We have a photographer capturing the ceremony and we will also be taking some pictures afterwards at the top of the town hall steps.

Followed by a celebration dinner at Mielo

A seven minute walk from Old Marylebone Town Hall, Mielo is a modern restaurant serving mediterranean inspired tapas and main meals. We will have our own seated section from 5pm.

Mielo is at 35 Paddington Street, W1.

Party Bus

After the meal, we will be travelling back home on our hired party bus. We have a limited number of additional spaces available for anyone who would like a ride with us to either Victoria, Kings Cross, Hitchin or Buntingford. (Karaoke encouraged, but not mandatory!).

If you would like a place on the party bus, please make sure you let us know in the RSVP form, strictly first come first served. We will confirm your place by email.

Thinking of getting us something?

We’ve been together for a while,

And have a lovely home

There are not too many things,

That we don’t already own

So please don’t be offended,

And please don’t think we’re brash.

But if thoughts were on a present,

we have a small wish list (HERE) but

would be happy with cash,

But the choice is really up to you,

And we would like to say,

That the best gift we could receive,

is you, here, on our special day.
